I’ve had it… I went to Northern Michigan and they served it in the cafeteria. As I recall it tasted a bit like an Italian Sausage.

To me, it’s like a tangy pizza burger, but no fennel seed. It does have red pepper flakes, though. When I first bit into one (1988) I was thrown off for second because my brain said “pizza burger.” Once I wrapped my brain around it, I ordered two more. Has wine in it, but also potato starch, to keep things together.
