Medure, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL

We went to a concert in Ponte Vedra Beach last night and had dinner at Medure. How did we not know about this place? It’s been around for over 20 years. The place is gorgeous and modern in black and white with plenty of room between tables. Our server, Kat, was amazing. Everything was delicious, even the bread! Sour dough or focaccia served with butter resting on EVOO with Maldon sea salt on top. Husband had the foie gras that came with vidalia onion confit, onion marmalade, aged balsamic and vanilla truffle oil. I actually had fantastic meatloaf…yes meatloaf, with shiitake broth and horseradish cream. Husband had beef tenderloin with foie gras butter and black garlic demiglace. Dessert was pistachio crème brûlée. Can’t wait to go back!!

I need to update this since we went back this weekend. Fresh- appetizers and cocktails. Frightening - entrees and most dessert. My friend had the rack of lamb. For the price one would expect double chops. Nope skinny chops. Really small. And dinner was cold. And chops were well done, not medium. I had the chicken which was on the bone covered with prosciutto and mozzarella. Dry. I really ordered this for the sides. Fondant potatoes and spaghetti squash with truffle. Potato - right shape and that’s where the similarity to fondant ended. Not cooked. Cold. Spaghetti squash - no truffle. Dessert. Pistachio crème brûlée- no pistachio flavor but perfect otherwise. Captain Crunch soufflé. Absent captain crunch. Chocolate torte- can you say heavy? I’ll meet for drinks and apps there. That’s it.
