Sorry to see that McGillicuddy’s has closed. It has been a true neighborhood bar and restaurant. Sign says a new restaurant will be open for Summer 2020.
I have no further details, but a friend told me he heard on good authority that the people taking it over have a REAL clue… since I can walk there, I’d love for it to be good! Fingers crossed. 
Rumor is that the new owner is a relative of Phil Villapiano (the ex NFL star from Rumson).
My wife shared with me that they had closed. Not surprising, it was the place we went to when we couldn’t make any other decision.
Hopefully the new place has good food.
