sorry, yeah McDonalds is generally not as good as anyone can make at home.
Sadly, this is how a lot of the UK pub industry is going. Corporate parasites buying up all the properties and making pub landlords worse than wage slaves, to the extent they’d be better off working in McD.
The Giants pay $1.2M rent each year for the ballpark site
I don’t think that was ever up for debate.
Ah yes, VULTURE capitalism. Fuck em.
We did it! Didn’t take a photo of the food as wasn’t very different looking to the usual McD fare. I must say, the burgers were noticeably better, with a much better burger to bun ratio with the patty coming to the edges of the bun all around, and a less ‘artificial’ tasting patty. Someone went nuts with the ketchup though. Probably a bored teenager in the prep area. The rösti sticks were like skinny hash browns.
Sounds delicious!
I think this thread influenced my choice of a burger over fish and chips at lunch today.
Interesting. I wonder if the patty is the same weight as the standard American McDonald’s patty of 1/10 lb (45g)? If so, they must be wafer thin.

Depends on the home, for sure.
One of the world’s largest landlords… 5th on the list if I remember correctly…
My hamburgers at home suck. Way worse than McD’s or Wendy’s.
I just had a few bites of a free burger given away at a street fair. It was sub-mcdonald’s and there were no toppings available (no ketchup) except for an unmelted slice of ‘cheese’. It was free and yet unfinished.
Lots of Australians on the list that i saw + the catholic church is right up there.
Yes, it was quite a thin patty.
Yup, that’s the list I was referencing.
LOL! Made my morning.
Would you pay $3.99 for a McD’s hash brown patty? $4.35 (AUD) Google says between $1.99 and $3.99 in the US. I was at a McD in the spring and saw the $3 hash brown and was ready to order it….until it was only through the kiosk, at which point I said nope. After all, for $3 you get 10 frozen patties from TJ’s. FYI: the patty weighs 2 oz, or $24/lb.
Breakfast is sensitive to McDonald’s:

Yes, I would it.
It’s damn good.
It’s only money, and it’s useless if you can’t spend it on things you enjoy.
