That is persuasive.

Over on Reddit, they’ve identified the shirt as one sold by conservative podcaster Steven Crowder. Here’s the full image printed on the shirt:

Would love to know which McD’s allows their employees to come to work looking like this.

oh so edgy :face_vomiting:

I believe McD’s corporate office sets the mandatory dress code policy for all their franchises. The owner could lose their franchise, I bet. Starting cost for one is half a million dollars. They make their owners millions. Imagine losing that just because some absolute loser wanted to own the libs while working the cash register.

Thanks!

Zoom the photo in a bit. Look at the kids left ear and right cheek. See how sharp the resolution is? Now look at the edge of the shirt. See the pixelation?
Not a really good fake. Or that would be my guess.

Go ahead and say it.

Actual franchisee manual not found, but this info is consistent with how a massive business stays successful when it relies on individual operators:

Probably one whose manager either comes in later or goes home earlier than their staff

That article is dated September 2023, but references the McDonald’s 2017 manual. Times have changed in recent years in case no one has noticed. Since some/a lot of people don’t want to work anymore, Franchise owners, managers, supervisors are forced to hire people they never would have hired in better times. And you know what. Good for them. What choice did they have. Tattoos, body piercing, elderly and handicapped people. At least they want to work for a living. Or have to. Unlike others who choose to sit back… Be gentle with FF workers. Two sides to every story.

I personally don’t care about piercings, tattoos, etc of FF workers, but hateful clothing sayings on them is another story.

People don’t want to work anymore?
Is that why unemployment levels are historically low?
I think you mean people don’t want to work for sh*t wages.
In & Out and Chick-fil-A don’t seem to have the same hiring problems.

I thought it was fairly obvious that the photo was a fake. Same old same old that people fall for nowadays. Of course McDonalds wouldn’t put up with it. I don’t like the t-shirt slogan any more than you do. My point was concerning the 2017 company manual and how times have changed in the past few years. Make of it what you will.

Those two you mentioned answer to a higher authority in their personnel practices.

They actually do.

But why let facts get in the way a good internet debate. Al Gore would be so disappointed.

Maybe where you are.
Here, those are desirable jobs.

Yes, I agree they are desirable jobs.

But it doesn’t mean that INO and CFA are not having staff shortages.

There are some new CFA locations in Toronto, as well as London and Kitchener. The chain only recently arrived in Canada.

One is very busy, and located on the same block as the 2 story Nordstrom Rack that went out of business. Very important location in Toronto historically, Yonge and Bloor.

I probably won’t ever try it unless I’m famished and nothing else is open since I’m sort of over fried chicken sandwiches.
