For Valentine’s Day there is now something call McCaviar, which is a combination of caviar and Chicken McNuggets. I guess it started as a Tic Toc trend. I have a feeling it’s not the best caviar.
I think a Filet o Fish and caviar would be a better combo. Paging @ipsedixit.
I googled, and here’s a link with more info. And I’m even more confused now, having read it. It’s not April yet, and this is really somehow free..?
Even more info here:
[caviar + nuggets]
I’d try it.
Anyone try to get this? I waited patiently on the site as the countdown went to zero, and then the whole thing immediately crashed and just sent back “too many requests” errors. Apparently McDonald’s IT staff isn’t very good at load testing.
Same experience at you.
We can put a man on the moon, but we can’t build a website that can withstand an onslaught of free caviar wanters.
Bah. I wonder how many kits there actually were? Not an especially cheap promo. I guess I’ll never know the joys of McCaviar. Sigh. (Kinda.)
Don’t you mean “McCavair?” ![]()
Sounds like a Canuck thing.
I would love to hear from someone who made it through and received the caviar.
Me too. ![]()
From what I read there were only 25 kits, so odds were not in your — or anyone’s — favor.
Well I checked and you can get a pretty good Tin of caviar for around 40$. Chicken McNuggets depending on the amount go between 1 and 6$. So you can easily buy both and have a good time. I’m wondering does Coke, Pepsi or White wine is the best match to this feast.
A McFlurry, obviously.
If the McFlurry Machine is working.
Paddlefish? I don’t think you can get sturgeon for anything close to $40 these days, but please share the source if that deal does exist.
Edit/second thought: If you’re pairing it with nuggets, paddlefish is probably just fine!
My search was “buying Caviar Detroit area”, (where I Live.). I found a few brands around 40$. For example Hackleback Caviar Caviar for 30$. I guess it’s not the best stuff out there.
I would welcome the chance to judge how $40 caviar compares to $80 caviar and $160 caviar.
Anyone interested in funding this important research should contact me here or through direct messages…
Anyone?
Hello?
I found a brand called Romanov from Krogers for around 7$. I guess Caviar is like wine. You can get Two Buck Chuck or you can get Chateau La Tour 1982, (I guess you can say that about many things.)
I think the Romanoff caviar, to use your wine metaphor, is probably more akin to MD 20/20. I find it tough to imagine that any shelf-stable caviar could be even remotely decent. (IMO Two Buck Chuck is a perfectly serviceable table wine.) Always open-minded, though: If you should sample it please give us a review! With or without some accompanying nuggs.
