The single serve packets are not as good as the jars.
Single serve packets are not recyclable. Squeeze bottles usually leave mayonnaise that is hard to get out. Jars can be scraped with a spatula and once clean are recyclable. All of these are imperfect to varying degrees. How about a campaign to get Dukeās to use glass jars?
I was suggesting that for me, the jars were single servings.
Do you have glass recycling?
Popular recipe, probably doesnāt work with Miracle Whipā¦
I wonder why toothpaste doesnāt come in glass jars.
What is the preferred Texas mayonnaise?
Iāve made that chocolate mayo cake before, I would not have known mayo was in there, but I sure would if Miracle Whip was used. On the other hand the sweet and tart may enhance the cocoa flavor.
I have a tube squeezer thing. Works good.
I think Miracle Whip - at least, I come from Miracle Whip people! Itās probably a contentious thing though, like Mexican Coke vs. Dr. Pepper, or white vs. yellow cornmeal⦠Weāve got opinions!
I havenāt seen Blue Plate mentioned here yet. Itās got some fans.
(I currently use Hellmannās Vegan Mayo, which doesnāt have a huge following⦠yetā¦)
I think @johnb has mentioned that one!
It would work with Miracle Whip I think. Thereās a Miracle Whip Banana Bread recipe floating around the Internet
Iāve only had it in conjunction with canned pears. Fresh pears I prefer au naturel.
Yes. However, even if I did not, I would prefer glass. Glass in a landfill is inert. Plastic continues to release very slowly the microplastics that compose it, and chemicals in the plastic leach into groundwater.
That would be nice. Tubes, however, work better than squeeze jars or squeeze bottles.
Thanks for saying the quiet part out loud. Glass is much easier to reuse than plastic and doesnāt have the leech effect.
