Manchester

I will be in Didsbury, Manchester for ten days. I’m looking for any kind of food less than £25 pp. I’m especially interested in Ethiopian and Korean restaurants. Thanks in advance.

The tram is going to be the key here but, in the village itself, we like No. 4 (Modern Brit). Get the tram two stops to Burton Road for Indique (decent Indian). and the Lime Tree (Modern Brit). A couple of stops further on is Chorlton for the Oystercatcher (sea food) and Yara (Lebanese/Syrian).

But you’re going to need to go into the city centre for Ethiopian and Korean. Habesha in the Gay Village for the former. I don’t have much experience with Korean - the Koreana is the the longest standing one and the only one I’ve eaten at.

I was hoping you would see this, Harters. Thanks for the recommendations

I’ve a vague recollection you have a rellie in Didsbury. An aunt?

Are you staying in Didsbury itself, or East/West Didsbury? Burton Road is in West Didsbury and is something of a “restaurant row”. Try a Google to bring up other places along the road - all will be within a 5 minute or so stroll from the tram stop.

You have a really good memory! Yes, I have an aunt who lives on Spath road.

If you’re still in the market for Ethiopian, I spotted a couple of places in Rusholme, along the “curry mile”. No idea what they’re like.
