An iconic city centre building since the 1830s, its cafe has long been a decent stop for a light lunch.
It’s getting a revamp under the culinary oversight of Mary-Ellen McTague, late of the now closed Aumbry (yes, yet another Manchester restaurant touted to win a Michelin star - and didnt).
