hi everyone,
we had the best week in Harpswell and I wanted to report on same of our awesome eating -
Harpswell food:
- If you go to Harpswell, do NOT MISS Corner Market (formerly veggie corner). They have pastries from Solo Pane in Bath - my kids loved the chocolate and butter croissants - we loved the rolls which I used for homemade lobster rolls. We got an egg cheese breakfast sandwich on our last day and I can confidently say that it’s the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had - amazing bread, fluffy egg patty… outstanding. They also sell the cutest ice cream sandwiches from Afterglow which were delicious.
- Erica’s Seafood was not quite what it’s been in the past - smaller quantities and the lobster roll wasn’t as fresh as it has been in years past.
- Itty bitty coffee shop - super cute, good coffee, good coffee cake/brown butter RK treat, cookie. Nice addition to the peninsula.
- Dolphin x2 - I got the seared swordfish which was delicious and the second time shared fried clams/scallops - so good.
Portland:
5) Street and Co - I had an amazing fresh pasta with a tuna bolognese - so good. Salad was fine, nothing special.
6) Isa Bistro - this was fantastic. I had a lobster pasta, great burrata salad, and our coconut cream pie was so good. My husband’s halibut was perfectly cooked. My kids split a steak, and the 12 yo practically sang while eating it, she was so happy!
Brunswick:
7) Frosty’s x2 - we love Frosty’s so much - I’ve never had a better donut. For old people like me, it’s so reminiscent of Cottage Donuts in Newton.
8) Gelato Fiasco - always a hit
9) Fat Boy Drive-in - I missed this meal while at an event, but my family loved their burgers.
