Either one should work, I believe the show is about an hour long(like most of the other venues). The food does look excellent, but I’m trying to book the drinks and show package but not having much luck.
That sucks. My trip is in October and it seems to be wide open. I can’t decide if I want to dine like the Spaniards and do it late or give in to my old age-ness and have a early dinner and a show. lol
Old head here and I hear what you’re saying Is the dinner pre or post show? That could be the deciding factor. If it’s pre, the latest you’ll be out is 10:15-ish(?) , that’s not too bad.
I think the dinner starts first. But some of the reviews complained because they had to eat in the dark during the performance. So, I am not sure. Maybe they start the courses and then midway though start the show?
@Maribel or others will def know better. Looks like I’ll be booking Tablao Flamenco 1911, tickets seem readily available. Tbh, I don’t think you can go wrong with the majority of any Flamenco shows in Madrid.
I went to a flamenco show in Madrid a few years back and absolutely fell in love with it. Obsessed really. I even went to a show in Bahrain, of all places, and the female singer was AMAZING. I thought the dancers were better in Madrid, but the soulful sound of a woman’s voice was epic. So, I am going to as many as I can!
I’ve been lucky enough to see some amazing shows in my hometown and on my last visit to Madrid(2022) , I’m even thinking about booking a show in Malaga when I’m there. It’s easy to fall in love with flamenco and a visit to Spain without taking in a show is unforgivable
Peter, I just had a lovely email exchange with Corral. They are SUPER responsive. Perhaps, you can email them and get a better response than the website. This is the email I’ve been using. reservas@corraldelamoreria.com
Yes, everyone should just email them. But since you have a very early departure the next morning, I would go with the earlier show. It is the best tablao in the city and has been for many, many years.
Speaking of flamenco, two weeks ago we saw the magnificent stage show of Sara Baras, “Vuela”, dedicated to Paco de Lucía. She is on tour. We’ve seen her in NY, in Paris, in Madrid, during the annual Feb-March International Flamenco Festival in Jerez and most recently in Pamplona. If anyone finds himself/herself in one of the cities when she is touring, GO! Her stage shows are truly amazing----the lighting, the music, the costumes, the choreography, the whole package.

(Ditto to Eva Yerbabuena and Rocío Molina, 2 other female flamenco dancers, world famous.)
I will email them for sure, thanks!
Oh my, she’s in Madrid in September when I’m there! @Maribel would you skip Corral, or any other venue, to see her show or do both?
Yes!!! She’s in Madrid in September with her latest “Vuela” show at the EDP theater on the Gran Vía (where we saw her last year in another show), GO!!! Her dance troupe is phenomenal, her musicians world class and her male dancer mesmerizing. And the settings, lighting, costumes, all highly memorable. And get seats close to the stage, but not on the front row. World class flamenco.
I would prioritize Sara over. anything else! And see the Carlos Saura movie ¨Iberia¨, in which she dances.
Just purchased a ticket! Front row Thanks for this information, very much looking forward to it, gracias :). I still might go to a show in Malaga. Now all I need to do is figure out where to go for dinner.
Where to do for dinner in Madrid or in Málaga?
Thank you so much!
In Madrid, before or after the show(8pm-9:30) The area doesn’t look very promising for restaurants, but I can have a big lunch and skip dinner or just have some tapas.
That area of the lower Gran Vía, close to the Plaza de España, is somewhat of a big food wasteland if you aren´t hankering for Chinese on Calle de los Reyes. The nearby Mercado de los Mostoles is where madrileños go to purchase Chinese ingredients. Lots of Chinese places in that area behind the Gran Vía.
I would just go elsewhere for tapas after the show. After our SB show we took a taxi to the Retiro district, our usual hangout.
@PedroPero
I’ve never attended a flamenco tablao in Málaga, but if I were to go, I´d choose this one,

Looks amazing, and a short walk from the hotel!
That sounds like the best plan, a little late night snacking sounds perfect. Friday nights in the Retiro district are busy, yes?
