Mad cow disease discovered in Alabama

What initially struck me about the video is how incredibly unhealthy all of the unfortunate, featured animals appear to be. I’m used to seeing shiny happy creatures grazing and roaming open pastures

The animal was 11 years old? Most beef cattle are slaughtered within 3 years, once they are fully grown. (according to a quick search)

I wonder where that old meat would end up if it had been sold. Pet food? Glue? Mixed in with all the rest to make hamburger?

@chowdom Yes those cattle are on the same farm as my kids dog who ran away when they were little. I can just see Fluffy now, frolicking with all those happy shiny cattle grazing in the plush rolling hills.
