We have a Macaron Day in North Carolina - who knew?
It’s this Sunday, March 20th. A group of bakeries in the Triangle will be participating, giving a portion of their proceeds to charity (mostly Meals on Wheels). Macaron Day was started in North Carolina by Daniel Benjamin of lucettegrace in Raleigh, based on similar celebrations in Paris and New York.
Other participants include Guglhupf and Rose’s Meat Market & Sweet Shop in Durham, Escazu Artisan Chocolates and Raleigh Night Kitchen in Raleigh; La Farm Bakery in Cary; French Broad Chocolates in Asheville; and Atelier on Trade in Winston-Salem.
