Lulu Bar has some Polynesian and Hawaiian food. Has anyone tried it? It also has a Honolulu happy hour from 3 pm.tp 6 pm daily .
I am jonesing for Loco Moco. I might give it a try sometime soon.
It looks like Peppers and Pokito might be the only other places serving Loco Moco in Toronto at the moment.
I went to Lulu bar for lunch the other day with a colleague who was in town. I thought it was pretty good but tbh I do not have a very good frame of reference since I don’t actually know if I’ve had much Polynesian/Hawaiian food before. We were put in the main floor, which was a little snug, but the photos of the second floor look nice and spacious (I did not see it personally though).
We split the wings and broccolini. Wings were crispy and I liked the flavour! Would definitely get them again, but I am a sucker for crispy wings. Broccolini was also good.
I had the loco moco and enjoyed it, but as mentioned, don’t have a frame of reference for if it’s a good rendition or bad one. I don’t think I’d reorder, but mostly because I’d want to try other items on the menu - my colleague had the poke and it looked really good!
Will likely come back with other work people at some point for happy hour, especially because we’re being called back into the office for 4 days a week - maybe before winter sets in and we can still sit on the patio. I only had a beer at lunch, but the cocktails looked interesting and I’d like to try them!
