I just received a big bunch of this from someone’s outdoor garden. What the heck do I do with it?
Sometime the flavor is intense so a little goes a long way. Use in any dish where the flavor of celery is desired - soups, stews, crab cakes or added to a salad. Istr hearing that the hollow stems work nicely as a straw for a Bloody Mary!
Thanks! Tonight I’m roasting a chicken- I might try a bit in the pan gravy.
Yum - nothing says “home” like a roast chicken! Could tuck some in the cavity or some leaves under the skin.
I thought about that, but I don’t want to overpower with flavor, in case I’m not wild about it.
If I do enjoy the taste, I’ll use it in soup for sure. I have enough to freeze, and I read it does freeze well.
Freeze is a funny word when you look at it long enough.
