Many years ago we went to Manoir Hovey using frequent flyer points. It was a mixed experience. The room was a reasonable size but smelled very strongly of smoke from the fireplace, and had the smallest bathroom (3’x6’ I think) I’ve ever been in. The food was wonderful. For dinner there was a fish dish cooked and presented in a mason jar. It consisted of the ingredients in layers, and we were instructed to dig deep to get everything in each spoon. They would not part with the recipe. Breakfast was also great.
