Anyone have any favorites? We recently tried Small World in Napa which was wonderful. We’re already looking forward to going back, and would like to try some other spots. Thanks.
The fast-casual options Oren’s Hummus and Sababa are run by Israelis, I believe.
Pomella in Oakland and the owner Mica is awesome.
Frena bakery in SF SoMa and related Outer Richmond Hummus Bodega.
Just learned that we’re getting an Oren’s in Mill Valley - yay!
Nice!
Oren’s is also at a ghost kitchen in Davis (hummus was good as main locations, meat less so)
Oren’s Hummus - pretty good
Frena Bakery - closed
Hummus Bodega - excellent falafel and hummus, menu is gradually expanding with schnitzel, shwarma etc.
Sababa - horrible.
Limonnana - schnitzel, shwarma, sabich, merguez etc excellent on a good day.
Isn’t the SoMa location of Frena still open? (I know the Outer Richmond one closed)
Hummus Bodega is in the same location as Frena was, at Geary & 20th Ave. I recommend it.
The SOMA Frena location is closed. In any case, I’m not sure I’d have called it a restaurant.
Limonnana is a couple of blocks further down 6th St.
