New dumpling place has opened, and it’s closer to our side of town. It’s VERY new. The walls were still pretty bare and the menus were xeroxed. But so far, so good.

Peanuts, lightly dusted w flour and deep fried. How have I never had these before? Followed by pork XLB and wontons in chilli oil. The XLB were quite good. The wontons could have used a little more oil, but what was there had a nice kick of mala. We always wish we could order more to try more things, but there’s just the two of us and neither can eat the way we did and youngsters.

But we’re looking forward to trying more dishes. It’ll be nice not having to go across town for our XLB fix.

For whatever reason, the family owned places like this ALWAYS have the best customer service.

Dumpling Yo! in Land Park / Greenhaven is a treat any time we go. The waiter recognizes us, even though we only get there maybe once every month or two. We occasionally get free egg tarts for dessert.
