I’ve now had two dinners at this restaurant near the Gare de l’Est and I can recommend it for its top quality ingredients, creative bistronomic dishes, good wine list, and overall quality for the price. My report is here.
I’m a little confused by the menu. Is the E65 option for two people?
It is a menu in six services at 65€ per person. It can be for 1, 2, or any number of people.
I had another quality meal at this delightful restaurant near the Gare de L’Est. My report is here.
We had dinner at Les Résistants – La Table on Saturday night (after first inadvertently going to its sister restaurant before making the additional 10 minute walk to the correct address ).
We had the 49E 4 course prix fixe.
The amuse bouche was an interesting bread mousse over onion confit with buckwheat on top. If it had a little more oomph (smoked paprika, e.g.) it would have been fantastic.
This was followed by green asparagus covered with more greens, rare tuna with turnips and a nice sauce, and lamb with white asparagus and a fantastic green olive spelt (I think) risotto.
The wine pairing was 3 wines for 29E, and all matched well. My Larry David moment (for those of you familiar with Curb your Enthusiasm) came when they poured the pinot noir (I’m unclear whether it was a Bourgogne rouge or not) that accompanied my lamb into a small glass… while multiple of the proper glasses** are sitting directly in my view as I eat!
The dessert, with chestnut ice cream and a caramel tuile sitting on a cookie/cake of some sort, and the mignardise to finish were nice and not too sweet.
The wine glass annoyance aside, I thought this was a very fine meal and a great value. We will return (if not as quickly as to Géméllus).

** It is possible that those shown are white Burgundy glasses rather than for red; someone more knowledgable than I might know for sure. But in any case they would certainly have been far better than the glass the wine was served in. For white wines, I’m actually not that fussy, but for reds in general, and pinots in particular, a proper glass makes a big difference.
@andygottlieb42 - thanks for the updated report on this spot, great news.
I must say, I feel your pain on the stemware! The stems in your pick look a lot like Zalto Burgundy glasses to me which I love.
Back in Portland, our favorite Pizza place which we go to a couple of times a month and has a decent list, served the wine in a small water glass like I have seen in some places in Italy for their house wine. I brough my own stems one night and from them on, they have kept some decent stems on reserve for me and some others.
Good wine deserves good glasses.
First, thanks so much for this thread and the recommendation. We really enjoyed Les Resistants, it was our last dinner on a recent vacation, which I will post about.
@andygottlieb42 on the stemware, they used the small glasses for the pairing since they have markings on them to let them know where to stop pouring for each paired wine (little teardrops). I would bet the large burg glasses don’t have those markings, and they use them for bottle purchases. I hear you, whatever they poured probably would have been better in a big bowl stem… We really enjoyed the wine pairings too, they were all clean (for natty wines) and interesting.
