I’m with you, bananas turn dark and my little heart smiles. Just made banana blueberry bread yesterday.
Eggs? Really? I don’t even refrigerate them and very rarely have to throw one out. I can’t remember the last meat I had to throw out that wasn’t and aged leftover.
I just made up a batch of Pierogies and froze them. I’ll transfer them to a freezer bag and store for a later date. My test batch went over well with Sunshine, and she very much enjoyed them. I do need to work on my Pierogi aesthetics as they look a bit “wonky”.
Its a rainy day in the desert today and now I’m bored. Everyone is happy and I have nothing to cook or bake. It’s almost Noon and I’m all done until dinner, as Sunshine just wants a sandwich for lunch.
They look great! I cheat, and use a 3" empanada mold to make mine. Works great, and I imagine its the kind of thing you might stumble across on your thrifting adventures.
Speaking of pierogies and empanadas, I play a video game on the phone and this gadget called the “crimpit” keeps showing up as a commercial. Basically it’s a giant empanada press that folds and crimps a standard 10” flour tortilla. I’m intrigued and keep thinking I’d get one….I think $11.xx on sale plus shipping but I never order it. One thing it shows it filling it with leftovers making a pasties or hand pie and using an air fryer. No affiliation. If anyone tries it, please report.
Oh, this is my fantasy (kinda-sorta). I’m thinking 6"-8" pot-stickers. Knife and fork required. I have the larger empanada mold - maybe I’ll pull the trigger!
