Looks pretty much like my last visit in the 1980s. Cant imagine much has changed.
OMG I’d go for the prime rib (?) and that sundae alone!! Wowzah
I always felt we were going someplace special as a kid when Lawry’s
seasoned salt and pepper were on the table, usually along with A-1 and Tabasco.
Then there was the visitor’s center. Out on a patio eating foods manufactured right there!
same here !
they have that on the table of course. and i used some.
The Van de Kamps are also well equipped for Burns Night.
mostly true
some subtle changes
they have a steak menu now and apparently about 10% order that. somewhat larger menu but most get the same prime rib off the rolling carts.
no more peas.
redecorated a few years ago. about 50% less royal ugly dudes on walls still a lot.
the prices.
lots of nostalgia beef and fun. living with a bunch of vegetarians this was a treat for me.
i appreciate that enthusiasm which i share.
they have some fudge sauce called cc browns
the icy silver bowl makes it.
they used to make it table side for you now diy
forgot to note both the horseradish whipped cream and purer stuff also go great w the meat and au jus
the tam o shanter is great.
they used to have lunch special prime rib french dip sandwiches. maybe still do.
if i lived nearer to los feliz i’d go there more often.
