I am looking for some late night tacos somewhere close to San Jose downtown still open around midnight after some cocktail drinking. Last week I didn’t wanted to drive around without any information but the Tijuana hotdog stand outside of the bar was already quite nice but looking for more options - there are a number of places on Yelp but hardly any reviews or photos - Any suggestions?

I have been to the La Vic near downtown. Listed as 3am and certainly true. AFAIR the best order is a cali carne asada burrito, but they’ll have tacos. Use the orange sauce. The place has limited seating and lots of students and fellow drinkers, less a lingering place.
Once you get “open till 1a” in the parameters, pickings are pretty slim. There are a few trucks and whatnot listed on google in east san jose. I’ve been slowly rolling through a variety of places in that area (usually with local recommendations) and also more like in the alameda area, but it doesn’t look like I’ve been to any of them that are open till 1am. They would all be a lyft / uber.
Have you considered Korean? Once you get in a cab you might as well go out to santa clara along ECR where there are about 4 korean places open late. I don’t think it’s more than 10 minutes ride that time of night. Make mine a seafood pancake and a pile of galbi.

I’ve been to La Victoria…when the SJ Grand Prix happened. Geez, that was almost 20 years ago. It was solid but don’t remember much.
