Not at all a Trumper here; but second language instruction has thrived with the advent of much improved options online. We teach Spanish in house (I used to be the teacher), but offer German, French, Mandarin, Japanese and Italian. kids get into these classes and many continue on in college. US Americans are used to people coming here and learning English. that’s just what most latinos do, if they are able. Usually they learn on the job or at a school, if they are school aged kids. I had one ( only one, miracle child) Go from puro Espanol to English proficient in 10 months. This kid still blows my mind. She’s just a language vacuum.

Fortunately politics haven’t ruined our schools; but, more and more, politics are trying to sneak in. Great way to ruin education is too much political input. People are worried, and there’s not enough of those people to go around (meaning educators.)

I thought that was called “popping in.”
