Land & Sea, Harrison serves a good brick oven pizza...

I have watched Land & Sea Restaurant, across from Metro North in Harrison, go thru many incarnations over time. It has been there for more than 30 years. After a long hiatus, I dropped in on proprietor Peter DiCostanzo to see what was happening. His brother Nick operates Mamma Francesca overlooking L.I. Sound in New Rochelle, and some may remember brother Vincent who ran Vincent’s La Cantina in Mamaroneck.
While sitting in the bar/lounge we exchanged a little restaurant history, how the business has changed thru the years. His amiable manager Lillian took my order: a pizza from the wood burning oven topped with sausage, sweet peppers and onions, mozzarella, of course. One bite of this crusty pie and I was in comfort food heaven. So tasty, those sweet onions adding the extra pizzazz…
The regular menu of popular Italian/American dishes remains, but that pizza will bring me back again…
