Great dinner at La Sciamadda dei Vinacceri https://ivinaccieri.com/la-sciamadda-dei-vinaccieri-ballerini-home in Sestri Levante - not surprisingly quite seafood heavy directly at the Mediterranean coast. Some of the best octopus we had anywhere, branzino and a unique tuna lasagna.

Looks like a perfect meal!

Would you recommend Sestri for a few days on a trip the Ligurian coast? (I’ve stayed in Camogli and in SML, but never got to Sestri)

It’s a nice little town - like most of them in this area they have quite a lot of tourists but we felt it wasn’t as overrun by them as some other places.
It also depends what you are looking for, e.g. “base camp” to make many day trips with your car vs staying at the beach etc

I love the food in that region. Your meal looks heavenly.

I dont think I have ever seen tomato sauce and pesto on the same dish before - but fish lasagna can be delicious - how was the combo?

Sometimes plans don’t work out as expected and so we ended up a second time at La Sciamadda dei Vinacceri https://ivinaccieri.com/en/la-sciamadda-dei-vinaccieri-ballerini-home in Sestri Levante. This time we ordered quite a lot of appetizers so that we were too full for desserts (which is quite unusual for us). Again a great dinner
