This is a well off the beaten path restaurant in very well off Chevy Chase, Maryland where the neighborhood restaurant is a classic French restaurant. We went for a celebratory dinner. After cocktails (a memorable pour!). The appetizers were endive salads for the ladies, a provencal snail and wild mushroom casserole (for me).
and an oyster fricassee for the son in law
Our entrees: trout amandine
beef tenderloin au poivre
cooked beautifully (in contrast to my focus)
and sweetbreads with lemons-caper sauce
and dover sole (lemon butter sauce not shown
desserts (not photographed) included a delcicious apple frangipane tart with ice cream, a creme brûlée, a cognac, and a grand marnier.
Everything was delicious and well executed, and they actually have ample parking in a parking desert. More details at my blog, but this is a place you should try
