La Belle Patrimoine chicken — who's had it?

Sadly, only WF seems to carry it in my state, and we don’t have a WF in town.

A trader at my local farmers market follows a similar farming practice to these folk - also claiming to be “beyond organic”. I dunno. I know where I am with organic - there are specific guidelines, which they have to follow and compliance is monitored. That said, the chickens taste freaking fantastic.

This is my go to brand that is available here at Whole Foods and MOM’s

This looks interesting. The WF near me carries it and I look forward to trying it. Usually I get Bell and Evans–which is excellent quality–but for a Sunday dinner the whole chicken looks like a good choice. The price is in between the B&E regular and organic. I’m partial to air-chilled chicken as the texture is superior to the “standard” Perdue I used to buy.

Bell and Evans is my fallback

I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about these chickens, which is why I’m extra-bummed that it’s not available near me. Maybe I’ll pick one up when I’m in Philly next. I should also see where B&E chicken is available near me.

ETA: I checked. Even though they are located in Fredericksburg, PA I don’t see it for sale at the local supermarket chains (Giant & Weis). Feh!

EATA (edited again to add): Looks like I’ll be EATA that chickena soona. Giant carries them :man_dancing:t2:

@linguafood I was just writing a reply when I saw your edit that B&E is available at Giant. That’s good.

LaBelle Patrimoine does ship in the US, but it ships frozen product.
