Oribe is, by far, the best Japanese restaurant I’d come across in Kuala Lumpur. Executive Chef, Nagoya-born Hideaki Oritsuki, is a consummate perfectionist who prides himself on preparing amazingly tasty dishes from the freshest seasonal produce.
Book well ahead and ask for a seat at the sushi counter (instead of the tables).
Never mess with a sushi chef! Chef Oritsuki is very approachable and totally affable
The omakase meal (RM410/US$96 per head, not including drinks) - worth every single cent!
