Warong Old China hosted a public talk organised by the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Baba-Nyonya Association last Sunday afternoon in their multi-purpose function room upstairs of the restaurant.
The event was followed by a traditional “tok panjang” Nyonya dinner in the restaurant downstairs.
Our dinner consisted of:
- Kueh pie tee.

Pomelo and cranberry salad.

Jenahak asam pedas. Golden snapper cooked in a spicy-sour gravy, with pineapple chunks, tomatoes and okra.

Crisp-fried brinjal - house special.

Telur Belanda. - fried eggs in tamarind sauce.

Ayam Pongteh - stewed chicken with “taucheo” (fermented brown soy beans).

Pucuk paku masak lemak. - crisp fiddle-head fern in spicy, coconut milk-enriched gravy.

Udang masak lemak nenas. - spicy prawns with coconut milk-enriched gravy.

Melaka Nyonya laksa.
