[Kuala Lumpur] KL-style wantan noodles from Nam Chuan, SS6

One of the best noodles, in terms of texture, from ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐—บ ๐—–๐—ต๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—›๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ž๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—บ in SS6, Kelana Jaya.

Each serving of ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ noodles here come with very good ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ณ ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ, blanched ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜บ ๐˜ด๐˜ถ๐˜ฎ greens, and golden, crisp-fried ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ dumplings. Wished theyโ€™d do poached versions of the ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ด. It would have been perfection on a plate. Still, one of the best ๐˜ธ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ฏ noodles Iโ€™d tasted here.

Braised chicken feet here is da bomb! Donโ€™t miss it.

Nam Chuan has at least 8 stalls there - all touting KL-style street food, which is Cantonese-inflected (KLโ€™s Chinese populace is overwhelmingly Cantonese) and very different from Penang-style street food which is heavily Teochew (Chiuchow/Chaozhou) with a dose of Hokkien (Fujianese), as Penangโ€™s Chinese populace are largely Hokkien.

I never miss KL-style chee cheong fun, which I can never get in Penang. Studded with yong tau fu pieces which one selects oneself from the ordering counter, I always end up over-ordering, then over-ate myself to oblivion.

My first time here, and it wonโ€™t be my last.
