[Kuala Lumpur] Fab Lebanese fare at Byblos

Abbas Saad, one half of the popular Aussie soccer duo (the other is Alistair Edwards) in the Singapore soccer team of the early-90s, is now a KL-based restaurateur. His Lebanese restaurant, Byblos, serves up one of the best-tasting cuisine from that region in KL, no mean feat in a city with hundreds of Middle-Eastern eateries.

Hummous - mashed chickpeas with tahini paste and lemon juice, topped with olive oil.

Pita bread, accompanying the hummous dip.

Falafel - deep-fried mashed fava beans and chickpeas, served with tahini sauce and pickles.

Mixed grill, consisting of Beef Mechwi (grilled tenderloin), Chich Tawouk (grilled marinated chicken breast) and Kafta (grilled minced lamb), served with coleslaw, French fries, pickles and hummous.
