kimchi kitchen has opened on cambridge street in east cambridge
really curious about this place. Korean food in Boston has never been very spectacular, but that joint looks somewhat promising.
Same here. I was really eager for Meju to open, because they originally announced themselves as being a super-casual, homestyle Korean place that’d serve moderately-priced food “like a Korean grandmother would make”. Instead they opened as a sort of weird, surprisingly expensive Korean fusion place with tapas and tacos.
It’s very traditional with a small tightly focused menu and low price points. 3 Jigaes. I talked to the owner 5 weeks ago during construction and offered it to the usual media outlets but no one was interested.

It has the same stuff you can find at 4 or 5 places in allston, plus kimbap. I’d be happy to see a decent homestyle/casual Korean place in Cambridge

Your description of Meju is right on the mark.
