A friend is looking for beef or lamb kidneys in Toronto (‘downtown’ only, please). Has anyone seen them? She’s looking to make her own steak and kidney pie.
Years ago I found them at a Caribbean butcher where Rasta Pasta in Kensington Market is now, but since then have occasionally seen pork but no other kidneys anywhere. Any clues?

I’d try your local Halal grocer. If you have a Kabul Farms or the like near you, there are decent odds you’ll find it. In context, I love kidney, but I think the dog food industry have taken up a fair bit of supply.
