Khampa Kitchen - Tibetan [Queens / Jackson Heights]

After a couple of false starts, we settled on Khampa Kitchen for some momos and thukpa.

The place was very nicely done on the inside, not what I expected based on the outside and other similar places around.

We had chicken momos, beef thukpa, and beef with peppers (served with tingmo).

The thukpa was just lovely - very flavorful and fresh, well-spiced but not spicy.

The momos were of the thicker variety. The filling was very simply flavored with aromatics, no spices, but they were served with momo chutney that made up for that.

The chilli beef was my companion’s craving, but the weakest of the lot.

They suggested the momos in soup as well, which I would get were I to visit again on my own.

Very clean, family run, food was prepared fresh.
I’ll be back to try more.
