Joy King Lau [Leicester Street, London]

This has for many years been my favourite destination for sea-food fried noodles and lobster fried noodles. When I was last there, (a couple of months ago I think), there had been a recent change of ownership and whilst still good the food did not please to the usual standard. I have avoided going back.

Has anyone been recently?

Are there any other favourite Chinatown places for crispy noodles with mixed seafood or lobster?

I was at Joy King Lau again last night. The waitress was surprised that I had heard that it had changed hands about three months ago but confirmed it had happened.

Even so, my usual lobster fried noodles were good (perhaps not quite as crispy as I prefer) and a dish of Dao Miu with whole garlic cloves was excellent. A bottle of rosé was clean and decent.
