“ Jiangnan Handmade Dim Sum, Scarborough “ - Wow! What an amazingly enjoyable and delectable meal! So good….the food during this re-visit easily deserves a hands-down 5.0 out of 5.0 rating!

In addition to the dishes we ordered during our last visit. This time, we added a few previously untried offerings. These included:

  • Kung-Pao Chicken
  • Napa-Cabbage in spicy golden sauce
  • Fried BC Clams in spicy, northern style
  • Hand-pulled noodles with braised beef brisket
  • Hand Pulled noodles with minced pork, preserved mustard greens, bamboo
    shoot, Chinese mushrooms.
  • Pot Stickers with prawns and Pork
  • Steamed dumplings with pork and crab roe filling - aka XLB
  • Chilled Lychee crystal jelly pudding
  • Dessert soup of Glutinous rice balls with Osmanthus and fermented rice

Once again, the stirred fry dishes, with out-of-this-world wok-hay goodness, were absolute stand-outs. My son, a ‘ Kung-Pao Chicken ‘ aficionado, claimed our rendition tonight was the best and tastiest version he had come across in the GTA to date!. For me, the dainty and refined, umami broth filled Pork Stickers and XLB were sturdy and well crafted with near perfect wrappers and nicely seasoned filling. A duo of truly commendable artisan creations!
The noodles, IMO, were the only weak link. Though tasty, the overall taste profile was a bit subdued and could use a bit more ‘oomph’!
Lastly, both desserts were refreshing and outstandingly delicious with just the right amount of sweetness!

By 7.00 pm, the place was packed……and our solitary friendly lady-server was so stressed! Poor Soul!!: please include [City, Neighborhood] in your post title above.
