Jhol Momo at Himalayan Doko in DC

My first time at this Nepalese place which popped up seemingly out of the blue.

As it is getting so hard to find a great, cheap meal in DC, I put the jhol momo at Himalayan Doko at the head of the list. Cost is $14. This is only my third time having this dish, and it rates as the best. It took a long time for them to prepare these, a good sign in my book.

They come out piping hot, plump, and juicy, and the broth has a nice buzz of spice with a lovely aroma. The momo are quite delicious on their own featuring a distinct but delicate Napalese flavor. Then after you take a bite you can dip them back into the soup and take them to the next level. Completely satisfying.
