Jersey's Best Buffets

Are there any others you like on Oak Tree road?

That is prime buffet country up there.

That sounds like a map :bulb: in the making. All 50 States. I’ll give you credit if I ever get around to it.

+1 on Rasoi 2 I usually prefer to order Indian off a menu but the buffet there was huge and it was all good.

@VikingKaj @joonjoon

What is the ayce price at sabor now? (With skirt steak)

And does the price differ for lunch and dinner?

As for my vote, I eat at buffets maybe 2 or 3 times a year. It’s definitely not my thing. I suppose I’d put in a vote for the eatontown China buffet. I mainly get everything from the grill guy and have it cooked for me. Joon turned me onto his Garlic chili shrimp recipe and that is a winner. I like the duck and the sirloin is half decent I suppose. Oh and the crab legs are obviously good. On that topic, has anyone ever brought one of those butter warmer things in there? It’s the little kettle type deal where you put a tea candle underneath and it keeps the butter warm? I’d probably feel like moron brining it in but I bet that would make the crab experience much better lol

Last time I went, which was maybe Oct, it was $ 26.95 for lunch and dinner.

I think they also offer a plate by weight option, but that is always a loser for me.

I do, however, have to be hungry to go there.

This would be so amazing!! Hahah

I always go for the weighted option at sabor. I usually get out of there at around the 15$ mark without going overboard. It’s 8 or 9 bucks a /lb I think so that’s almost 2 lbs of food.

I haven’t been yet but I plan on going as soon as I possibly can to this place: https://www.yelp.com/biz/v-yan-hot-pot-and-bbq-parsippany?osq=hot+pot It’s (AFAIK) New Jersey’s first AYCE hot pot + BBQ!! I mean just look at this glory: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/v-yan-hot-pot-and-bbq-parsippany?select=gZpp_00LECaNU6y0Gqi0hQ

Found it! Let’s go for it Joon lol. And wow, that other spot looks killer!

The Manor looks like a total time warp! Good looking menus, though.

Not the sushi, but they probably toss msg on the tempura.

It is a throwback to old school fine dining. My grandparents had their 25th anniversary party there in the early 70’s. The place was well established back then so I have no idea how long they have been in business but it’s got to be over 50 years. They have a sister restaurant called The Highlawn Pavilion which is far more updated with the same quality in food and service.

Well, there’s this:

And I thought I loved buffets. This guy has me beat by miles.

I still eat at Tokyo Buffet occasionally. And Freehold Grand Buffet every once in a while.

On the Long Branch topic, have you guys been to the spot on Broadway maybe 50 yards past bank of America heading east? It’s diagonally across from the church

Wow, that is crazy. He is like covering 4 states plus casinos on a regular basis.

I think we need to get him to be a HO !

There’s a little Barzillian place if that’s what you mean, but I haven’t been yet.

Bom DMais Lanchonete e Pizzaria

The menu looks interesting. No rodizio, but Brazilian style pizza and sandwiches.

They have a pizza topped with beef tenderloin which could be just the thing for you guys…(@corvette_johnny @NotJrvedivici)

Google reviews look ok, this could be worth checking out.

I use to serve a “pizza” topped with thinly shaved beef tenderloin, lump crab meat drizzled with bearnaise and crumbled blue cheese. Sooooooo good…

Those sandwiches sound interesting. Man the pizzas are expensive there!

@VikingKaj I think you’re talking about the one on the same side as the church. I’m talking about the one right near the laundry place (same side.) Come to think of it, I believe there are two churches across from each other lol. The restaurant is on the opposite side of the tattoo joint. I think the spot you mentioned is on the same side as the tattoo parlor.

Jr that sounds like a quite a pizza.

As we say in the marketing biz, that site isn’t mobile optimized. So for those of us who can’t scroll through the pictures, can you tell us what number 2 is?

That site is garbage. You couldn’t even skip to #2, you had to click through 11 freaking pages to get there. It was the Manor.
