A quick Biru in the ANA lounge before our flight ex Hokkaido to Akita.
Nostalgic, a prop plane!! Pay attention, safety first!!
We don’t complain about airplane food.
We brought our own Konbini fare. Tomago Sando (egg salad sandwiches) all sold out, of course. Half is better than none.
These puppies greeted us at the baggage carousel. Welcome to Akita!!
Our room was not quite ready yet. The Club staff kindly brought out a selection of tea bites while we relaxed.
Akita is famous for RICE and SAKE. We had flown over a few paddies en route.
Selection of 8 local sake to enjoy. Also a Chilean Cab and some Australian Sparklers.
I started with a neat Chivas 12yo and an Asahi Dry. Wife proceeded to work her way thru the sake selection. Educational purposes, of course.
A well presented and quality ingredient buffet, albeit somewhat limited. I really needed the salad, much appreciated.
There was a rollicking party going on across the hall.
A hotel rooftop Beer Garden, Yakiniku, Grill at your table, All You Can Drink party.
Friday and Saturday nights only.
Black Freezing Highball!?!?
All the Japanese Meats and Accoutrements you care to grill on your own.
Tonight!!! We’re in!!!
