Looking for shops that sell or specialize in higher quality Chinese vegetarian mock meats (gluten) dishes. There used to be a place we went to that had a huge variety of these mock meats in Scarborough. However, it’s been decades since they have retired. The pre-packaged combos in Asian supermarkets are too similar in texture, pre-cut, and frequently too sweet for our tastes. Simon’s Wok was ok and offered a good variety of textures and spices. Some of Saigon Lotus’ mock meats are also not too bad. But I’m looking for one of those places that has a huge variety on display and you pick what you want like in those Chinese BBQ meat places. Any pointers appreciated. TIA.

Sorry I can’t be of much help. Buddha on Dundas used to sell their mock meats separately from their regular menu dishes, but checking the website it doesn’t look like that is the case anymore.
