The fried chicken at Sweet Cheeks in Fenway and at Firefly’s in Marlborough (both bbq joints) is quite good.

Popeyes.

You can get a bucket on Wednesdays from The Wardhurst in Peabody for $15. Dark , white or mixed. Sort of GBA.

Totally forgot about Sweet Cheeks ! That and her biscuits, Yum !

Thanks, Peter. Peabody’s within 128 at least The Wardhurst. Been a bit since I’ve been there. Also, should have included I’m not a fan of chain restaurants.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve had it, but Trina’s Starlite Lounge in Somerville has a chicken and waffles that I can recommend.

I also like Buttermilk & Bourbon’s fried chicken - I’ve only had the Watertown location’s.

Two useful suggestions. Will check both websites. Thank you.

And her fried okra…and the black-eyed pea salad…actually, all of her sides and scoops are really good.

Won’t satisfy the bucket of fried chicken itch, if that’s what you want, but I love the fried chicken dishes at Ms. Clucks Deluxe in TimeOut Boston by Fenway/Landmark Center. Their chicken and waffles is delicious (more about the chicken than the waffles, not gonna’ lie). The Cushmans bring a little Asian/Japanese flair, but really great chicken.

i keep meaning to try crispy chicken in winter hill. it’s just down the street, but my schedule has been brutal. has anyone been?

This sounds more up my alley. Not a bucket of anything person (maybe steamed clams!). Reading your posts overtime IMO you have a discerning palate. It’s the chicken I am after not the waffles, thank you.
