A liver specialist advised me “no After Eight” after eight.
Aw, man. That stuff still around? I remember the 70s teevee commercials for it. I actually liked them as a kid.
My dietician says the same thing.
She even says to avoid all complex carbs after 8 pm. But that’s for someone who isn’t watching BritBox until 1 am, I think.
Acid reflux, once experienced, is never forgotten. Makes you go bolt upright in bed in the middle of the night, reaching for yoghurt, ice cream, or Pepto Bismol. I’ve even made mad dashes to the grocery store at 2am, on discovering I was out!
My poor PIC occasionally has these attacks, but they’re pretty random
The dietician rule is more about preventing mindless eating and getting the ghrelin hormone under control.
Exactly.
When I used to pull all-nighters, you bet I would eat after 8 p.m., and after 1 a.m., and probably again at 6 a.m.
But then by that time, who’s counting.
