wondering if there any must eat spots along the way? I see there’s good food in mobile (meat boss, moes, boar hog, cotton state and Wintzell’s Oyster House sure looks interesting)

Unless things have changed drastically since the last time I drove that, other than Mobile theres a whole lot of nothin’. Between the bayous and open water theres just not a lot of civilization.

Take a short detour off I-10 to Biscuit King in Fairhope, AL (not too far from Mobile). Not to be missed if you are in a breakfast-y or lunch-y mood. They close at 2 PM.

thanks, google maps calls it about an hour detour, probably a little too far.
