Eel Bar is a stone’s throw from me. I will try the wet martini. For science.

I have been pondering what to do with my open bottle of Ulrich vermouth in the fridge, given that I only use a few drops for a martini (10% ratio vs gin is what I like). And that the vermouth only stays fresh for a few months.

I’ve had success combining vermouth on the rocks with some tonic, and a slice of lemon. But I’ll also try adding a splash of gin, as suggested in the article.

We were big fans of the Spanish way of drinking vermút: on ice, with a slice of orange & an olive. Great aperitivo & digestivo.

I have no idea what this means.

Thanks for taking one for the team.

Now you do. Cue rainbow.

I drink a lot of Negroni’s, an ounce of vermouth at a time. I also enjoy a Bijoux, a Bronx cocktail, a Flying Scot, a Terf Martini, a Jersey Lightening…lots of ways to use up your vermouth!
