Thanks! Just so you know, only a third of the book is about cats
I look forward to reading it David.
I had the same problem with my cat last year. I spoke with the vet and he told me that the cats in most of the cases jump on kitchen counters or tables when they feel the food smell. He adviced to have all the surfaces clean and disinfected, thus all the smells will be vanised. Also, he told me about a tool which keeps the cat away for about 5 metres. I don’t remember the name of the tool, but it looks simillar with ceramic cat water fountain which encourages cats to drink more water. Most probably, you will find it easily on google.
Welcome to Hungry Onion! I’m one of many moderators here and a cat lover, if my little Sideways Boy in my photo here didn’t give that away.
I missed this thread the first time around. My cat doesn’t jump on my counters (at least as far as I can tell) but she is a very helpful bartender.
A local restaurant/bar - Laylow in Asbury Park - did a virtual happy hour/cocktail class. It was a lot of fun and the proceeds go support the staff.
I missed this one, wow, your cat is an acrobat! How old is he now?
LOL! My cat prefers I open a pizza shop. He can eat tomato sauce. Used to eat bread…(his homeless days) Love all cheese! And crazy about green olives! Of course ham!
I could never imagine what it was that he liked about it, but mine did too. And he would go nuts when he heard a can being opened, because he had come to assume it would be… lentil soup and he liked the “juice” from that even more than tomato sauce… (He had no great interest in most other canned/jarred things, including things one might expect a cat to want, but you had to let him sniff the contents to convince him it wasn’t lentil soup.
) I never did figure what either of those things was all about, aside from the fact that, well, he was a cat…
I know my cat jumps on counter in the early mornings when we aren’t around, I saw his foot print on the induction cooktop. LOL! Not all the time, every other week I think.
He jumps on the fridge then get on the kitchen wall cabinets to the small windows above them. There he can see what’s on the counters.
Molly is a year and a half now. Curious as ever still. But she’s a great cat, and so glad we have her!
You have a bottle with cat eyes!
Great cat! Molly makes me laugh so much!
I’m not sure what she’d eat given the opportunity but nothing would surprise me.
That’s so funny. I didn’t even notice that. That’s a bottle of Lucid Absinthe. Thanks for pointing this out.
Sure. Until it’s time to nap, and then they’re all on top of each other.
