I had completely forgot I started this thread.
For me, it’s a treat to get take-out on my birthday, because I continue to cook dinner around 26 nights a month.
This past birthday, I had Enchiladas Suizas from a small town Mexican restaurant, and a Black Forest Cake from a small town bakery.
I usually alternate cooking a more extravagant dinner for my loved ones on their birthdays with fancy take-out, lately from a bistro we have been visiting for 40 years.
Our most recent celebration was take-out from the same bistro:
Caesar Salad
Scallops with corn risotto
Chicken Francese with goat cheese mashed potatoes
Ribeye steak with potatoes gratin
Sticky Toffee Pudding
My uncle recently celebrated his birthday. I sent him the Junior’s Cheesecake Sampler, so he can keep some cheesecake in the freezer, for guests.
I sent my cousin’s husband a package of canned fish and nuts from Portugalia for his birthday this month.
