Houstonian Magazine's Guide to Local "Foodie" Christmas Gifts [Houston,Tejas]

Title Says it All.

(Almost: Check out the knife guy’s link!)

I’ll suggest:

Olive and Vine - Imported Olive Oils, (Southern Hemisphere this time of year) and Balsamic Vinegars
Java Coffee and Tea Co - Fresh Roasted Coffees
Cacao & Cardamom - Galleria Area Chocolatier
Alamo Tamales - A Texas XMas Tradition. Get the hand rolled!
Gerardo’s - also has excellent tamales. Additionally, their barbacoa is legendary and their neon orange habanero salsa is worth the trip all by itself.
Fredlyn Nut Company - Gotta have nuts at Christmas.

Feel free to add your own.

Thanks for the personal recs. I’ve never heard of Olive and VIne. And I have never made it up to Gerardo’s for tamales; I must try to remedy that this year. Hmmm. And then there’s their Borrego, Fin de Semana.

Houston Food Finders has a slightly longer list.
