Hot Dog Chicago style in NJ

I’m an old NYC guy who has been brought up told the only proper way to dress a hot dog is mustard ( never ketchup) and some sauerkraut
I would turn my nose up at chili dogs, and especially Chicago style dogs.
So today I tried a homemade version with a dog, deli mustard, relish and some tomato on a potato roll as the poppy seed buns aren’t available here to my knowledge I’m not going to lie it was delicious.Although I am not heading out to Chicago anytime soon my next backyard bbq I will be doing this version of a hotdog. The fries are from Trader Joe’s and were pretty good done in an air fryer

I love a dog that’s been “dragged through the garden”.

I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me :wine_glass:

Dragged through the garden? Gives me a thought to try other combinations, never chile though…
