Great, thanks! I’ll try this for Christmas.
Agree, suave and sophisticated.
I think I baked slightly less than the recipe calls for ( my oven runs hot). I made them thinner than I would have liked from what I recall: next time will make fatter!
Mulled wine pear butter ![]()
When my offspring made beignetanfor my moms bday bash, he wanted to make a blackberry-mint jam that he found online for filling.
Life intervened, and we ran out of time. We settled on a dip…melted a jar of blackberry jam and added some chiffonade of mint.
It was absolutely delicious and got lots of raves.
Maybe an easy fix for your linzers?
Noooo. You will have to make another batch!!
Happy Christmas Memories
I, for one, think cookies look better when the decorations are slightly wonky.
Now you’re talkin’ ! It looks like the Agrimontana brand has a lot of choices
Yea I found it very hard to pick
Racking my brain for an Xmas eve dessert. I have some beautiful pears that I’m pondering using, but I can’t find a recipe that appeals. Pear and almond something? I’d rather not make a cake since we’re having a heavy dinner. Thinking a tart of some sort. I think I did eggnog creme brulee last year. I’ve done pouding chomeur and regular creme brulee in the past. Also have done panna cotta. I’m not interested in anything pumpkin and as much as I love cheesecake we’ve had two over the last month and I’m cheesecaked out. I do have lots of graham crackers and gingersnaps for a crust of some sort. I was thinking some sort of custard tart - eggnog custard? We’ve liked creamy things in the past. We will have a ton of cookies. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks ![]()
This, from an old magazine, was touted as a good dessert after a heavy meal. I’ve never made it, but I saved the pretty picture because it seemed like such a good idea. There is a recipe for something very like it here Oriental oranges by Fredy Girardet.
I mean, this was easy and not heavy and mom said it was the best dessert I ever made….
I found a pretty unusual website– Catholic Cuisine: 12 December – not sure what I think of some ideas. A large table covered with a cupcake “rosary” (yes the cupcakes are the rosary beads.) And hand-shaped cookies with little red frosting “stigmata” marks – all in all, it’s interesting for someone brought up Catholic. Suggestion for what to make on each saint’s feast day. etc.
How about lemon possets (gift link)?
These look great… Thoughts on replacing strawberries with a more wintry option?
