Hobby's Deli Newark

I’ve never been, since, well, they are located in Newark - recently named the Dirtiest City in America ( i’m so proud of NJ )

But I know a few people who were very upset by Hobby’s not reopening after closing for the pandemic. Rejoice fans, they are finally open again

Hobby’s is excellent and run by two brothers who are great people and always there to make sure everything is done right.

Absolutely concur! For years when I worked in Newark (parts of which are awesome, @seal ) I called Marc on a regular basis to order platters and he was always great to work with!

They need to fix their web page if they are really open again.

I used to work around the corner and we’d eat at Hobby’s on special occasions. It was so good. I guess other’s think so too as it was recently named one of the USA’s best Jewish delis.

I worked in Newark during the 90’s - we’d bring in lunch from Hobby’s when we needed to celebrate - anything. Great deli!

NJ.com article: Thank the deli gods…

Stopped in recently for some Pastrami. Very good.
My grandfather was one of the early owners late '50s. Cool story bro but nice to finally stop in and day hello.
Next time going to add some Chopped Liver to the Pastrami sandwich. Get the Onion Rings.
